NYE FLASHBACK

New Years Eve in Byron Bay...
Could it get any better?
The camping ground littered with tents shaped like Kombis and domes, filled with snoozing bodies, steaming as the hot summer sun rises up early on NYE morning.
Eyes crack open and tent zippers fly up in an attempt to catch a cool breeze.
It's the calm before the storm as the bodies emerge and crack open a beer before breaky.
The evening approaches and DJ's set up on the beach as the first sparks of the giant bon-fires catch alight and the sun begins to set.
Bodies roll onto the sand, drinks in hand and begin to sway, hypnotised by the beats.
Vision is blurred by orange and red swirls of fire, hundreds of twisting bodies and the consumption of too many substances.
The countdown arrives and fireworks from a city in the distance burst to life sending the writhing bodies into euphoria.
A New Year has arrived,
what a way to bring it in!
